CHESTER-EAST LINCOLN CCSD 61 Illinois Interactive Report Card
Chester-East Lincoln District #61 is located in Logan County just east of the city of Lincoln.
The school district is approximately 126 square miles comprising of 60% farmland
and 40% of subdivisions and businesses.
School population is a little over 300 pupils with 250 families. Chester-East Lincoln derives its name from the two townships that comprise the
school district - Chester and East Lincoln. The school was built in 1951 followed with two additions. The first addition was
built in 1968 that now constitutes the Learning/Media Center, the courtyard and
the present day 4th and 5th grade classes.
The second was built in 1997 which expanded the primary wing to house 2
kindergarten classrooms and two 1st grade classrooms.
The facility consists of an IESA approved baseball field with lights, a 300
meter track, and a regulation soccer field.
The school also maintains its own bus fleet that services the 126 square miles
of the district.
Chester-East Lincoln offers:
- Early Childhood program for special needs students
- Full time physical education program
- Art Program
- Music Program
- Special education services are provided with inclusion in the uppoer grades and resource and instructional programs
- Jr. High academics offer Pre-algebra, Algebra, American History, Life Science and Physical Science, Literature, and English Grammar
- K-6 offers the basics of Mathematics, Reading, Language, Spelling, Writing, Science and Social Studies.
